I am currently getting quite a few enquiries regarding gymnastics/handstand/flexibility 1:1s for children.

The good news is that I do teach these. I am a fully qualified and 20+ years of coaching experience gymnastics coach, I have British Gymnastics certifications, a current enhanced DBS, safeguarding certificate, first aid, and insurance. This page is just to give a bit more insight on what I can offer and teach during these classes.

From Overgravity Gymnastics (Shadwell/E1 0DB)
Cost = £80 / hr (Thursdays before 5.45pm)
This price is inclusive of one hour’s space hire
Session availability depends on space availability
Overgravity is a very awesome facility with sprung floors, air tracks, and many mats and blocks.

From your house or facility
Cost = £100+ (Individual quote dependant on travel time)

Please note that this price takes into account me travelling to your destination, teaching an hour’s session, and travelling back. This is often on average totalling 2.5-3hrs of my working day. I travel from N15 and so a lesson in NE London will cost less than a lesson in SW London or not close to a tube station. Dependant on my schedule I do drive and if i do then i will require car parking.
You need to have adequate space for what your child wishes to learn.
You or another adult will need to be present in the house during the session.

*To existing Tekne Gymnastics club members booking private sessions with me then a 5 or 10 class carnet is available at a slightly discounted price, please contact for more information.

A non-exhaustive basic list of skills I can cover during these sessions are as follows:
From all spaces: Basic floor gymnastics skills and their progressions: forward rolls, backward rolls, cartwheels, handstands, bridge, bridge kickover, forward walkover, backward walkover.
From Overgravity, or if at home you have more space and suitable mats and equipment then also aerials, standing backhandsprings, roundoff backhandspring, back and front somersaults.

Gymnastics strength and flexibility: If a gymnast lacks the required pre-requisites to learn and perform moves safely and progressively, then I can work on developing these with the gymnast.
Routines: Basic beginner level gymnastics routines, how to score well in front of a judge.
I am also a specialist in teaching handbalance and flexibility, so can dedicate sessions to becoming very awesome at these.

From your own space then the main and basic requirement would be an exercise mat, but the more space and equipment you have then the more is possible depending on your aims and goals. Here are some examples of home equipment that are available (all to be used at your own risk outside of a coached lesson).
Floor Mats: Provides a safe soft surface to do our gymnastics on.
Airtrack: Provides a slightly sprung surface for all the moves that require a jump.
Foam Wedge: really good for learning rolls, walkovers, backhandsprings.
Red Blocks: can aid in learning a wide variety of moves.
Safety Mat: can aid in learning a wide variety of moves.
If you have space then there are also some awesome home bars and beams you can get.
